Originally from the Washington, D.C. area and most recently considering Park City, UT home, I have always enjoyed exploring new places and hearing other's stories. I received a Bachelor of Arts in Global Studies and Anthropology from Colby College in Waterville, ME. During my time at Colby, I spent a semester studying in Buenos Aires, Argentina with IES Abroad. To continue my experience with international education and the Spanish language, I worked as a summer program guide for high school service and adventure trips in Costa Rica with Rustic Pathways.  After graduating from Colby, my passion for meaningful travel led me to a position as a traveling teacher for Readak Educational Services, Inc.  I taught a month-long learning schools course to students in grades 5-12 in 14 schools in six countries including: North Andover, MA; Milwaukee, WI; San Antonio, TX; Humacao, Puerto Rico; Kingston, Jamaica; Hamilton, Bermuda; Guadalajara, Mexico; and Sydney, Perth, and Melbourne, Australia.

I am currently pursuing a Master of Arts in International Education Management at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey.  I am completing a professional practicum as a Special Project Intern at CIEE working on a redesign of their study abroad online pre-departure orientation as well as facilitating an online training on intercultural communication initiatives for resident staff in 12 study centers around the globe. I am seeking a career in education abroad, specifically using study abroad as a vehicle for transformative experiences that improve students' intercultural competence.
